Mission Reports
AHDH undertakes missions three times each year with a core focus on healthcare. Ever since we started our first mission in 1986, we have expanded our efforts and volunteer work by leaps and bounds. The importance of St. Joseph Hospital and its staff and volunteers to the people of La Vallée de Jacmel cannot be overstated and has increased significantly ever since the earthquake that devastated Haiti in January 2010 and the following cholera outbreak.
Our missions bring much needed health care to the people of La Vallée de Jacmel, but they also provide essential clinical and surgical experience and education in many specialties for our staff physicians, nurses, aids and technicians.
